A Struggling Artist's Struggle

The struggling artist's "struggle" is real. I finished my essay "Prey" almost two weeks ago, and still haven't found the money to submit it to the contest. LOL. It's all good, though; tomorrow I should have it when I get paid. Well, I'd better have it, considering that it's due the last day in November! So here's the essay's "hook:"

"You killed my son. You were the reason he died."

So I'm praying for good blessings over this essay, as I've been working on it--revising, rewriting, revising AGAIN-- for about two years. I'm hoping it does well because I believe that if it does, it will speak volumes for my resume and writing portfolio.

I won't say more about it, because I don't want to jinx myself.

Other than that, I've been doing the writing coaching with my alma mater, as well as putting the finishing touches on a slideshow presentation that I created to make the process of writing a thesis a little clearer for students. And, of course, I'm busy working on my memoir. I try really hard to come out with blog posts regularly for this blog, as well as my Mental Health blog, but it's so hard to do when I've got all these projects going on AND the kids. So, for now, I'll work on becoming a more consistent blogger.
